The Portal

The Psalm placed and positioned as a portal to the world of singing and praying saints, brings us in immediate contact with the battlefield of the Last Days, where the people and the forces of the "Vile Prince" seem to be able to secure a good measure of influence. This continues to be a solid position of theirs - if the people of the Lord allow themselves to be reduced and silenced by fear, by ignorance, by being deceived, even by their careless blending with the forces of the "Foul Prince".

Ps 1, Dan 11:21

The psalmist readies the scene of fundamental bearings in an insisting upon the full and total distinction and dividing of two realms of power, of two disparate realms of truth as well as with the describing of two wholly differing results of the particular approach chosen for achievement and accomplishment. This dividing between saints and sinners, between eternal values and the not so permanent views and approaches of the ungodly is categorized in the strictest classifications possible. There will never be a mixing of the two, no accord of peace between the two. One of the categories and approaches will loose its ground and its relevance in the battle for recognition and influence.

The author of this first Psalm, the first singer of this Psalm, paints a daring prospect which summarizes the fate of men in one of two, of only two, possible endings - one of them ends safe and secured according to the pattern of spiritual maturity in Christ, the other finds himself to have been locked to a permanent loss of rights and of life itself, even as he has tried every possible means of securing himself and his house. This drawing of a borderline, indeed a non-negotiable dividing of saints and sinners, of holiness and the absence of holiness, presents itself as a solid testimony right under the nose of every possible antichristian tendency - soundly so, because such a testimony will have its source and foundation in the Lord, Jesus Christ.

King David, and the Singers in Sion, who admiringly and diligently followed in in his tracks, allowed themselves to be led according to a prophetic viewing of their own days as well as in the considering of eschatological prospects. Each and everyone of them were continuously tempered in a thorough responding to the Charter of David, to the Covenant of the Lord presented to David - irrevocable words and horizons secured on eternal ground and, also, to the presence of the tabernacle set before them all as a guide to and a foreshadowing of the "soft war" and the peacemaking according to Heaven. They were all trained in the turning of their inward parts, the inner man, to the days to come when Zion is to be placed as the foremost among the many mountains, to the days when all nations will be invited to come to the House of the Lord to learn royal ethics before the eternal throne and its Ruler - Jesus Christ, the Messiah.

2 Sam 7:16, 19, Isa 2:2-5

The unavoidable state of tension between the "Beauty of Holiness" and every disagreeing tendency will be transformed into the - I ask for permission to express myself in modern terms - into the meanest blues of them all, to the most morbid and depressing tonality of them all.

Ps 95:9

Brought to Manchester, Great Britain, to be seated in the armchair of Karl Marx.

Had been following Chairman Mao on "the Longest March".

Was leading a prayer team to the Soviet Gulag, met with prison directors and vodka-sipping police commissioners to arrange for transports of Bibles to the inmates in the many prisons in the Gulag.

Was brought to South Africa to be praying for an ending of Apartheid, was in Cape Town the day Mandel was released only to be pushed forward to meet with the Swazi King at his birthday party - pained with the behavior of certain diplomats.

Planted a thorough "No" to adherents of Crowley and Blavatsky, to Mills and to Keynes.

A definite "No" at the altar of meditation in the residence of the U.N. in New York, a "No" to separatists and terrorists.

Even a solid and irrevocable "No" to both Mecca and Vrindaban.

The unavoidable state of tension between the "Beauty of Holiness" and every disagreeing tendency will be transformed into the - I ask for permission to express myself in modern terms - into the meanest blues of them all, to the most morbid and depressing tonality of them all.

Ps 95:9

There is nothing of value to be found along these winding and confusing tracks, nothing useful to be found in any of the many party structures or in the tents of the usurpers and terrorists. All these fractions and titanic outworkings - if any of them would call to ask for assistance, call for the presentation of their case, even if a Chairman or a President would call, the position and answer would be only one according to the First Psalm: "I am busy with another Kingdom, another and altogether different royal sphere. I cannot take you call, I do not want to answer your call. I will not open for and receive any call at all."

Calls may be answered on one condition alone - that is, repentance of a kind which will topple your kingdom permanently and reduce your petty sphere of influence to naught. I do not sit among scoffers. I have chosen to wait in solitude for the Lord, for His kingdom to come. I have chosen to wait for the Lord, for a word to be expressed and spoken among men, who have ears prepared for ardent hearing, who have hearts opened for heavenly realities and hands washed and cleaned for righteous deeds to be diligently done.
